What is EIS and OIS - Image Stabilization technology

EIS & OIS - Image Stabilization Basic Differences 

Now Smartphones are really smarter than earlier through implementing this type of technology, Now when we click a picture through our smartphone its possible that pictures may come with not so much clear because of hands are shaking at that time of clicking the picture, so now solution is here there is a two types of technology are now available on smartphones.

I) OIS- Optical Image Stabilization

II) EIS- Electronic Image Stabilization

Basically this two types of technology are do same thing which is Stabilize the picture or video but the way of doing are not same and also the quality of stabilization are also not same,

Basically EIS is electronically stabilize the video or pictures which is we can also do it after taking pictures through some software's, we can edit that pictures that thing now EIS done by itself in mobile through some integrated software technology and with the help of gyroscope sensor that is mainly EIS, which is of-course cheap-able that's why now almost every mobile has EIS technology.

On the other hand OIS is something which is costly because the original stabilization technology are here done by the camera itself there is no software processing technology. OIS are working through optically that means OIS works by controlling the path of the image through the lens and onto the image sensor. This is done by understanding the camera's movement using sensors such as gyroscopes, and calculating how the lens needs to move to counteract this. The lens module is then generally moved sideways or up and down, normally by using electromagnet motors. All of this happens as the image is recorded to reduce camera movement blur.

same as at the time of video recording if you have OIS on your mobile then you can take more stable video there is less jerking if you moving or running also but there is a certain limitation also have OIS can't give you stable video as external gimble provide but give you a stable steady video. 

Now almost every flagship category phone comes with this OIS technology, Recent launch One plus 6, mi poco f1, samsung s9, are comes with this OIS technology.
